The Role of Integrative Medicine in the Treatment of Essential Tremor
presented by Adam Simmons, MD, DABIHM

Dr. Adam Simmons is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty training in Movement Disorders. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. Dr. Simmons is the Director of the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center at The Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT. He practices in a multidisciplinary setting and integrates care from physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech and swallow therapists in his clinics. Dr. Simmons also practices acupuncture in the neurology clinics where he utilizes Kiiko Matsumoto’s Japanese style of acupuncture to treat a wide variety of neurologic and non-nerologic conditions.

Located at the corner of Corbin and Osgood Avenues at 370 Osgood Avenue, New Britain, Connecticut. Please note that – although the address is Osgood Avenue – the entrance to the driveway and parking is on Corbin Avenue!

From Points North (Springfield, Mass./Vermont): Take Interstate 91 South to Interstate 84 West. Refer to directions below from the Hartford area.

From Boston and Points East: Take the Mass Turnpike, Interstate 90, West to Exit 9, I-84. Take I-84 West to Exit 37, Fienemann Road. Refer to directions below, from the Hartford area.

From the Hartford Area: Take Interstate 84 West to Exit 37, Fienemann Road. Bear right off exit ramp. At the third traffic light turn right onto Corbin Avenue. Go past Hospital for Special Care though the next light and take an immediate left into the parking lot.

From Points West, and the Waterbury/Danbury Areas: Take Interstate 84 East to Exit 36, Slater Road (left exit). Go straight at light onto Sterling Street. At the second stop sign turn left onto Corbin Avenue. Driveway for the Research & Education Center is approx.  ¼ mile on the right, (off Corbin Avenue).

From the Middletown Area: Take Route 9 North to Exit 22, Route 9 North. Follow Route 9 North to Exit 28, Route 72 West. Take Route 72 West to Exit 7, Corbin Avenue Turn Right at the light. Continue on Corbin Avenue through four lights. The Research & Education Center is just before the 5th light on the right.

From the New Haven Area and the Connecticut Shoreline: Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 22, Route 9 North.  Follow Route 9 North to Exit 28, Route 72 West.  Take Route 72 West to Exit 7, Corbin Avenue.  Turn Right at the light. Continue on Corbin Avenue through four lights.  The Research & Education Center is just before the 5th light on the right.
