The state-wide Connecticut essential tremor support group was established under the auspices of the International Essential Tremor Foundation (IETF). Support Group Leader is Helen Moser. Medical Director is Duarte G. Machado, M.D., Co-Director of Hartford Healthcare Movement Disorders Center and Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology, Yale University School of Medicine.
The group offers a safe, informal place where those affected by ET can be themselves. At our meetings, individuals won’t be asked if their hands are shaking because they’re cold or nervous. Members find support and fellowship, share coping tips, and stay abreast of the latest research and treatment options.
Everyone living with essential tremor is welcome to attend our meetings …including family members and friends! Our group meets from 1:00-3:00 p.m. the first Saturday of every other month (February, April, June, August, October, and December). To accommodate our group’s demographics, meetings alternate locations among several Connecticut communities.
Come join us!
Pre-registration is requested in order to ensure that we have enough handouts, etc. Inquiries are always welcome. To register or request information, email Helen Moser.
