Focused Ultrasound Thalamotomy — Now that it’s here!

This summer, the FDA approved focused ultrasound to treat essential tremor in patients who haven’t responded to medication. We’ll get updated information and discuss this newly approved option at our October meeting.

Dr. J. Antonelle de Marcaida is the Medical Director of the Movement Disorders Center of the Hartford Healthcare Neuroscience Institute. She has had chapter and journal publications throughout her career in relation to the work she has done in Experimental Therapeutics and has been serving the Movement Disorders community in Connecticut for over 15 years.
