Essential Tremor: Then and Now
presented by Movement Disorder Neurologist Dr. Jeffrey Lahrmann
At this virtual meeting, Dr. Lahrmann will discuss:
- the history of essential tremor,
- the history of the treatment of essential tremor, and
- notable figures and celebrities with essential tremor.
Jeffrey Lahrmann, M.D., earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Connecticut. After graduating from St. George’s University of Medicine in 2015, he completed his preliminary internal medicine inter-year residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and Neurology training at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Lahrmann completed his movement disorders fellowship at Hartford HealthCare and the University of Connecticut. Currently part of the Chase Family Movement Disorders team, he has a particular interest in essential tremor, Parkinson’s disease, and deep brain stimulation and sees patients at the Cheshire and Torrington offices.
A Connecticut native, Dr. Lahrmann grew up in Mansfield and then moved to Glastonbury with his family. Now living in West Hartford, he is a tennis player and fan, enjoys snowboarding, and can be found cycling in nice weather.
