Vocal Tremor: What Is the Role of Behavioral Treatment?
presented by Alice Kosowsky, MA MS CCC-SLP

Alice Kosowsky, MA MS CCC-SLP, is a Speech Pathologist at Gaylord Hospital working with outpatients. Alice entered Speech Pathology after earning a master’s degree in psycholinguistics, giving her an appreciation for the interaction between language and speech production. She taught graduate students 1:1 for 14 years at Southern CT State University, and conducted a class for undergraduates in the area of phonetics. She has also worked with people challenged by swallow disorders for many years, continuing this area of specialty at Gaylord Hospital.

Within the past 5 years, Alice chose to independently develop a clinical interest in voice. She is pleased to be able to survey the literature on the treatment of Essential Voice Tremor and share what she has learned with us. At this meeting, Alice will speak about what is considered the gold standard in treatment, newly developing options, reconsidered options, and will update us about behavioral/speech therapy.
