AN UPDATE ON 3 ESSENTIAL TREMOR RESEARCH PROJECTS
presented by research teams working with the renowned Dr. Elan Louis at Yale
- The Family Study of Essential Tremor (FASET) team will present updates to their nation-wide study of the underlying genetics of ET. Presented by:
- Dr. Ashley Cristal and Hollie Dowd, Postdoctoral Researchers at the Movement Disorders Division of Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology, and
- Dr. Nora Hernandez, a Scientific Research Associate in Dr. Elan Louis’ Essential Tremor Initiatives.
- The Risk Factors Underlying Essential Tremor (RULET) team will present updates to their nation-wide study examining the role of neurotoxins in the development of ET and a new opportunity for the ET community to get involved in the study. Presented by:
- Ruby Hickman and Evan Hale, Postgraduate Researchers for Dr. Elan Louis at the Yale School of Medicine Department of Neurology.
- GABA Imaging of Essential Tremor: the concepts underlying the fundamentals of the study, what it takes to participate, and where we are in this study. Presented by:
- Dr. Nora Hernandez, Scientific Research Associate in Dr. Elan Louis’ Essential Tremor Initiatives.
