Our next Essential Tremor Support Group meeting is scheduled for 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2nd. As much as we’d love to meet in person, we’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and will likely meet via Zoom. Our speaker and topic will be announced shortly… but we do hope you’ll save the date and plan to join us!

I had DBS surgery in 2016/2017. Both hands. I decided to go through DBS because I felt like I was losing my independence. I had trouble carrying a cup of tea to the table. I also had trouble using a fork,l couldn’t cut meat plus veggies wouldn’t stay on my fork!
In restaurants l would sit in booths with my back to the door. I would only order food that l could pick up with my had instead of using a fork. This way people couldn’t see me shaking.
